ARAVIS BUS is a completely free passenger transport network.
Consequently, no transport ticket is issued and users can freely access the vehicles.
The use of regular lines by groups (Sundays included) must be requested from the operator no later than 48 hours in advance.
These requests are only accepted if places are available.
Group support will be refused if no prior request has been made and then accepted by the operator.
For any request, please complete the contact form, available in the “contact” tab or by clicking HERE.
Each traveler can take with them in the vehicle a maximum of two objects or luggage, provided that the following four conditions are respected for each of them:
Children who have not reached the age of 10, and/or who are unable to prove their age, cannot travel alone in network vehicles.
They must be accompanied by a person aged 10 or over (capable of proving their age) and able to supervise them, guaranteeing their safety.
Passengers are allowed in vehicles within the limit of the number of seated and possibly standing places. This information is written inside each vehicle, above the driving position.
Vehicles get on and off only at network stopping points.
These stopping points are marked on the ground by stopping posts and, possibly, passenger shelters.
Users can get on and off vehicles through all service doors.
All stops are optional, except the termini.
Consequently, users must, while waiting for the vehicle, stand as close as possible to the stop post or under the passenger shelter, and make a distinct hand signal to the driver as he approaches, in order to ask him to mark the ‘stop
For vehicles equipped with “stop requested” devices, the descent stop must be requested by means of these devices, in sufficient time for the driver to be able to stop along the sidewalk, without danger and without inconvenience for himself, travelers and third parties.
In the absence of a device, the request to stop must be made orally
Travelers must ensure their own safety and that of people under their responsibility.
In coaches, passengers must be seated, their seat belt must be fastened when moving the vehicle and this under their own responsibility.
On buses, passengers can stand, but in this case, they must hold on to the railings and handles to avoid falling in the event of braking or sudden turning.
Generally speaking, travelers must refrain from any action or behavior likely to cause disturbances, incidents and accidents, likely to harm or injure other travelers, network agents, users of the public highway, or themselves.
Furthermore, the prohibitions below are listed, with the corresponding infraction when it is based on a reference text.
The driver may decide to refuse access to a user if he or she exhibits behavior that creates a risk of disturbing public order or risks annoying other travelers.
When a user exhibits one of these behaviors during the journey, the driver can require them to get off at the next stop planned on the route, with the exception of minor users.
In the event of force majeure, the driver may involve law enforcement officers.
Each vehicle has reserved spaces marked with the pictogram shown opposite.
These places are reserved in descending order of priority for:
When these reserved places are unoccupied, they can be used by other travelers, provided that they immediately and spontaneously transfer them to the beneficiaries referred to above.
Non-priority travelers are also invited to give up the reserved seat they could occupy to elderly people.
Inside each vehicle, the location designated by the pictogram reproduced opposite is reserved, in order of priority:
The transport of animals in vehicles is regulated as follows:
Small animals, such as dogs, cats, birds, etc., are accepted provided they are transported on their owner’s lap in suitably closed baskets, or in sufficiently wrapped cages, and not soiled or inconvenience travelers. Animals placed in a basket are accepted free of charge. The carrier of the animal remains fully responsible for it.
Guide dogs for people with disabilities who accompany the holder of a specific or disability card are accepted.
Dogs outside the basket and dogs weighing 10 kilos or more must be muzzled and kept on a leash during the journey.
The presence of animals on the seats is prohibited.
All other categories of animals are strictly prohibited on board vehicles (in particular category 1 dogs such as pit bulls and rottweillers, new pets such as snakes, spiders, etc.).
Neither the operator, nor the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Region, nor the C.C.V.T. cannot be held responsible for the consequences of an accident caused by an animal. The owner remains responsible for the damage caused.
Each traveler can take with them in the vehicle a maximum of two objects or luggage provided that the following four conditions are respected together for each of them:
The driver is in no way responsible for carrying and handling objects or baggage belonging to users.
In any event, any object, package or baggage which by its shape, nature, odor, destination or volume may
is prohibited on board any vehicle, and network agents are authorized to refuse admission.
The same applies to any object which prevents a user from accessing or occupying a seated place, or which prevents a wheelchair user from accessing or occupying the space reserved for them.
The following are prohibited inside vehicles in all circumstances:
As an exception, bicycles, scooters or folding and folded self-balancing scooters, rollerblades and other wheeled vehicles are admitted provided that they are carried by hand, limited to one (or a pair) per person.
In summer, vehicles are equipped with bicycle racks.
Users only use them under their own responsibility, the driver not being responsible for hooking up, monitoring or unhooking the cycle.
Each traveler is required to constantly monitor the equipment, luggage and bicycle that belongs to them: Régie Des Transports de l’Ain cannot be considered responsible in the event of loss or theft.
If a user does not securely hold the luggage that belongs to them in the vehicle and it, by sliding or falling, causes damage or physical harm to others, the user-owner will be considered responsible and will answer, before the judicial authority, for the consequences of its negligence.
Any user who notices that an object has been abandoned in a vehicle must immediately report it to the driver, so that the latter can, through his hierarchy, keep it in a safe place.
If the driver suspects an explosive device or an object likely to endanger the safety of people, he has the option of immediately evacuating the vehicle and securing any person in its immediate vicinity.
As soon as he notices a risk or the start of a fire, or in the event of any equivalent situation immediately endangering the safety of passengers, third parties or himself, the driver has the possibility of ordering the emergency evacuation of the vehicle and the immediate removal of any person from it.
The driver has the option of asking any passenger or third party present or near the vehicle for assistance in order to, if necessary, help evacuate elderly or disabled people.
The traveler or third party required must then comply immediately.
Any object found by a user on board one of the vehicles of the public transport network must be immediately reported to the driver of that vehicle.
Objects found in vehicles can be collected free of charge from the premises of La Régie Des Transports de l’Ain at 75 chemin du Salon des Dames, 74220 La Clusaz.
If the object allows its owner to be identified La Régie Des Transports de l’Ain will inform them by telephone and return it to them upon presentation of an identity document in their name (or in the name of one of their legal representatives if they are a minor).
La Régie Des Transports de l’Ain authority only keeps found objects for one week. After that, they are destroyed.
La Régie Des Transports de l’Ain authority is not bound by any obligation of results in terms of recovery and return of objects lost in vehicles.
